The United Kingdom has begun providing coronavirus vaccines to people in the country. A 90-year-old woman has become the first person to be treated with the vaccine dose.

As per the details, She was given the injection at 06:31 GMT – the first of 800,000 doses of the Pfizer BionTech vaccine that will be given in the coming weeks.

Up to 4 million more vaccines are likely to be given to people by the end of this month.

Over-80s and some health and care staff are expected to be vaccinated first, as the program aims to protect the lives of the most vulnerable.

It is pertinent to mention that the UK is the first country in the world to start giving Pfizer vaccines to the patients.
