Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sefik Dzaferovic addressed a joint press conference on Wednesday (today).

Earlier today, the premier received the visiting dignitary, who visited Pakistan on a two-day trip, and presented him a guard of honour.

In a meeting with Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Dzaferovic called for a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in light of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution.

He stressed protecting human rights in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Džaferović said Pakistan and Bosnia enjoyed close ties which will be strengthened by his visit.

The Foreign Minister said that the two countries have always stood by each other in difficult times.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan desired to expand relations with Bosnia in different fields including bilateral trade, education, culture and people to people contacts.

The Bosnian leader and the premier will also witness signing of MoUs and will deliver media statements.


The Bosnian leader will also have separate interactions with Speaker National Assembly and other dignitaries.

This is Mr Dzaferovic’s first visit to Pakistan.

Earlier, Prime Minister Khan met Mr Dzaferovic on the sidelines of the OIC summit in Makkah in May 2019.
