The incident

On Wednesday night, two robbers were claimed to have gang-raped a mother of two on the Lahore-Sialkot highway in an area under the jurisdiction of Gujjarpura police.

The woman, along with her two children, was driving to Gujranwala when she was forced to stop at the Gujjarpura section of the highway after running out of fuel at around 1:30 a.m.

Immediately, she called a relative and gave her position to him. He also asked her to dial the Motorway Police Helpline 130, from which she reportedly received no response.

Meanwhile, two robbers reportedly approached the vehicle, smashed the window, and took the woman and her children to the nearby bushes where they allegedly raped her in front of the children.

They also allegedly snatched her Rs100,000 cash wallet, one ring, car registration documents, and three ATM cards.
