Islamabad: Senior Journalist Matiullah Jan went missing from Islamabad today. HRCP has demanded the government to ensure his immediate and safe recovery.
Family of Matiullah has
confirmed his missing.
Amnesty International South Asia has tweeted ” we are extremely concerned for the fate and well being of Matiullah Jan. He has been subjected to physical attacks and harassment for his journalism. The authorities must establish his whereabouts immediately.
According to Dawn Jan was due, to appear in the Supreme Court this week after it took suo-moto notice of an alleged contemptuous tweet by the Journalist.
